Who is LouWeezyAnne?
LouWeezyAnne is me! My real name is Louise Anne, though I usually go by just Louise. Growing up, I had so many nicknames from LA, Lou, Weezy, Lulu, to Ley-ley. I figured that if I somehow combined them, they essentially added up to me.
But LouWeezyAnne is more than just a compilation of my past nicknames. Rather it’s a growing collection of my stories, thoughts, and experiences as I navigate towards a happy, healthy, and balanced lifestyle – with food, health, and fitness at its core. I’ve really embraced how imperfect the road has been because every day I learn something new, and hopefully in turn, so can you.
What you’ll get out of my blog, LouWeezyAnne…
1. Food
I don’t discriminate when it comes to food. I say, the more the merrier! I’m not vegan or vegetarian by no means but I do want to share how vegan and vegetarian food are great tools and provide alternative options. I personally don’t believe in cutting out certain foods completely (of course unless an allergy is involved) because after all, I am a foodie. I will include anything I consider yummy while being mindful and considering balance.
- My only real rule with food is applying an 80/20 mentality. 80% of the time I eat clean, healthy and guilt-free meals, while the 20% I willingly give in to my inner foodie cravings, also guilt free. It simply means that my diet will consist of clean eating 17/21 meals in 1 week. Whilst giving myself 4/21 meals to cheat a little and indulge. A cheat meal doesn’t mean I pig out and overstuff myself with junk until I’m in a food coma. But I will not feel guilty if I have a juicy-ass burger with a side of fries once in a while. Again, balance is where it’s at.
2. Health and Fitness
Just like millions of people out there, I have had my share of weight issues. In fact, I’m going through one right now. I essentially began writing this blog to jump-start a more active and healthy lifestyle. I’m looking forward to exploring all the different new workouts, classes, programs, and other various activities that will eventually lead me to a happy, healthy, and fit self.
- Again, my only rule with fitness is applying an 80/20 mentality. 80% of the time, I will be sweating up a storm. While 20% of the time, I will be in my yoga pants watching Netflix and binging on a random show. Essentially, I like to get my workout and sweat sessions in 24/30 days in a month, and 6/30 days are reserved to do absolutely nothing. If I end up doing more because I have more time and more opportunities to be out and active, then awesome!
Like I said, the road will not be perfect, and maybe at times, it might not be pretty. But hey, I can definitely guarantee that it will all be honest, candid, straight-up, fun, and of course 100% authentically LouWeezyAnne.
